Here’s a new sign I saw posted on a door, right above a mailbox. What does the sign say?
“Vigyázz, lépcső!”

This is a simple sign made up of only two words:
- vigyázz – watch out! (command in informal speech from the verb vigyáz = watch out, be careful)
- lépcső – stairs
Vigyázz is a common command telling people to be careful or take care:
Vigyázz! A kutya harap. = Be careful! (This) dog bites.
Vigyázz, lépcső! = Mind the stairs!
